  • Famous mythical Chinese guardian foo dogs glazed in tri-color. They were made around 1910’s-1940’s during Republic of China period. The details are stunning and the utilization of tri-color was a celebration and gentle nod to the famous “sancai” or tricolor from Tang Dynasty.
  • Foo dogs are meant to be pairs and displayed as protective statues for home. Male’s right paw holding a globe, which signifies control over his world and protection of his home and family. Female’s left paw holding her cub, which signifies nurturing spirit.
  • In very good vintage condition consistent with age. A very thin line of glaze crack is not visible from the view of front display. See picture for details.
