Maker’s mark explanation:
The "CH. Field Haviland Limoges" double-circled red underglaze mark was originally used by Charles Field Haviland himself in 1862
The green “GDA France” mark: GDA was a factory in Limoges, France that produced specifically for the export market to the US from France. The GD stands for E.Gerard et Dufraiuseix. The A stands for Abbott, the importer and distributor for these wares in NYC. GD bought Charles Haviland around 1882 and added A in 1901
